Vancouver, Canada (My Sportsbook) - Defending series and race champion Paul Tracy couldn't break into the top-five in Saturday's final qualifying session, but his Friday time was still fast enough to win the pole for tomorrow's Molson Indy Vancouver. Tracy's winning time was one minute, 00.870 seconds (105.333 m.p.h.). The time was faster than his 2003 pole winning time of 1:00.926. Starting on the front row with Tracy will be his Forsythe Championship Racing teammate Rodolfo Lavin, who won Saturday's session. The No.3 Lola posted a time of 1:00.980 after being just 16th quickest on Friday. "It's a great day for Rodolfo and Forsythe," said Tracy, who limped his car back to the pits with an oil leak late in the session. Sebastien Bourdais (1:00.974), who has already won four times in six races this season and leads the championship by a 164-136 margin over Bruno Junqueira will start in row two with Mario Dominguez (1:01.168). Junqueira broke his right suspension over a curb and crashed late in the session and will start eighth if his car can be repaired. If it can't, the Brazilian will have to start at the back of the grid on a course which is hard to pass. The race is set to begin on Sunday at 4 p.m. (et).
