Salt Lake City, UT (My Sportsbook) - Utah Jazz forward Kyle Korver elected to remain with the team through the 2009-10 season, declining a chance to opt out of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent. Korver, who recently completed his first full season with the Jazz after being acquired from Philadelphia in the middle of the 2007-08 season, is scheduled to make nearly $5.2 million in the final year of his contract. "We are thrilled to have Kyle remain with the Jazz," said team general manager Kevin O'Connor. "We appreciate him as both a person and a player and are pleased he has shown a commitment to this organization." The Creighton product is regarded as one of the league's better three-point shooters and averaged 9.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 78 games for Utah last season. He hit a team-high 103 three-point shots, making 38.6 percent of his shots beyond the arc.
