Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - Detroit Lions wide receiver Az-Zahir Hakim is not expected to need surgery for a hip injury that will likely sideline him for the remainder of the season. Hakim is scheduled for an MRI exam on his dislocated and fractured left hip. However, it is not known when the results will be released. The 25-year-old Hakim did not return after catching a 14-yard pass on the Lions' first drive Sunday against the New York Jets. After being tackled by Jon McGraw and John Abraham, the receiver was placed on a stretcher and carted off the field. New York won the contest, 31-14. Hakim has 37 catches for 541 yards and three touchdowns this season.
