Boston, MA (My Sportsbook) - The Boston Celtics reportedly have a commitment from free agent guard/forward Marquis Daniels to join the team for next season. The Boston Herald reports the Celtics are expected to sign Daniels to a deal for either the $1.9 million biannual exception or work out a sign-and-trade package with Indiana. Daniels averaged 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 54 games last season for the Pacers. He has played the last three seasons for Indiana after spending the first three campaigns in Dallas. Last month, the Pacers decided not to pick up the $7.5-million team option on Daniels' contract. He became a free agent on July 1.
