Orlando, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Orlando Magic waived guard Corey Benjamin and forward-center Jabari Smith on Monday. Benjamin spent last season playing in Italy and with the ABA's Southern California Surf. He has appeared in 144 NBA games over his career, all with the Chicago Bulls, and has averaged 5.5 points and 1.6 rebounds. Benjamin was originally selected by the Bulls in the first round -- 28th overall -- of the 1998 NBA Draft. Smith averaged 3.2 points in 23 games for Philadelphia last season. The Magic roster now stands at 18.
