Allen Park, MI (My Sportsbook) - Detroit Lions wide receiver Az-Zahir Hakim was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. The team also claimed cornerback Jimmy Hitchcock off waivers. Hakim had his first season with the Lions come to an end after he dislocated and partially fractured his hip in a game versus the New York Jets on November 17 at Ford Field. He is not expected to need surgery. Hakim started 10 games this season and finished with 37 catches for 541 yards and three touchdowns. He also contributed 10 punt returns for 148 yards and one TD. Hitchcock was active for one game this season for New England and participated on special teams. He has 19 career interceptions in 101 contests. |
