Witt tallied two goals and 10 assists to go along with a minus-22 rating in 72 games last season for Washington. He earned $1.75 million in 2003-04. The 29-year-old Witt has spent his entire career with the Capitals after Washington selected him with the 11th overall pick in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. In 568 career contests, Witt has totaled 19 goals and 53 assists.
