Washington, DC (My Sportsbook) - The Washington Capitals agreed to terms Monday with first-round draft pick Steve Eminger. The deal is for three years and worth a reported $1.185 million per season, the rookie maximum. Eminger, the 12th overall selection in the 2002 Entry Draft, could earn up to $6.3 million in additional bonuses over the term of the contract. The club had until 3:00 p.m. (et) today to sign Eminger or be forced to return him to the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL. In 168 games for Kitchener, the 6-2 defenseman had 27 goals and 79 assists.
